Address Book Contact Record

A Contact record is an entry in the Address Book that contains the following information (within separate fields) about a person:

Full Name

  • First Name
  • MI: Middle Initial
  • Last Name
  • Nickname

Email Address

  • Primary
  • Other
  • Other

Note:
After 2006-02-15, data stored in Email Address fields must follow International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Recommendation E.123 (02/01). In summary, an email address must be in a valid format such as: feedback@everyone.net. The "personal part" (e.g. "Everyone.net Feedback") of an email address should be stored in the Full Name fields.

Note:
After 2006-02-15, data stored in Telephone fields must follow International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Recommendation E.123 (02/01). In summary, numbers (0-9) should be formatted in national (e.g. (877) 243 3645), or international notation (e.g. +1 877 243 3645). Letters (A-Z) may be used as mnemonics in place of numbers (e.g. (877) 24E MAIL). Hyphens (-), may be used as delimiters in place of spaces (e.g. 1-877-243-3645). Periods (.), and underscores (_) cannot be used.
